DIY: Sunburn Relief Spray with Essential Oils
The best way to prevent sunburned skin is by avoiding the sun or by applying sunscreen. (check out our previous blog post on how to make your own natural sunscreen) However, sometimes sunburns happen and you are left with a painful burn.
Try making this easy DIY sunburn spray to help give relief to your skin using essential oils.
What You Need:
16oz. glass spray bottle (you can purchase one here)
1 cup + 1 tablespoon Aloe Vera Juice
1/4 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
1 teaspoon Vitamin E
8 drops Lavender essential oil
8 drops Melaleuca essential oil
8 drops Roman Chamomile essential oil
Note: You can usually find Aloe Vera Juice at your local health food store.
Combine all ingredients into a glass spray bottle. Shake to combine. You’re done!
Shake before each use to incorporate all ingredients. Spray onto skin as needed and enjoy its soothing benefits.
